Etching is a contemplative process; planning, craftsmanship, time and spontaneity all working as one.
As a deeply analogue process, the act of etching is a protest against the degradation of the arts in society today.
In an age of generative AI, the act of creating physical grooves into zinc and printing an image from them through an etching press acts as a protest against the degradation of traditional craftsmanship that we see in society today.
