This image explores the Old Norse mythology of the Yggdrasil tree, a tree that was believed to uphold the nine realms of universe in its branches and roots. I enjoyed the challenge of using only line to capture as much detail as possible. I also enjoyed adding my own imagined details, including a lot of weird and wonderful characters and objects, and various machines that reminded me of time and creation. I hope that each time you look at it you notice something new.
